8th july 2016 pat and alan chapman just spent a lovely week at this super cl. everything we love in a cl. clean, tidy, very friendly and welcoming owners. hard standings perfect and level. ideal for motorhomers. quiet and a perfect base to visit many lovely devon gems. would highly recommend. 12 to 19 june, 2016 sally & del friendly people, well spaced out pitches and good location for exploring a beautiful piece of devon! great hospitality from mark and linda. had everything we needed. the fresh, tasty eggs and bread were a real bonus!! thanks for an enjoyable stay. we will definitely be back!! 30 may - 6 june more reviews karren urben this is a real gem of a cl. we have to leave this morning and while i write this the birdsong is all around us. it feels as tho we re in the treetops. the site is level and overlooks the rest of huntisbeare, the pond and 2 meadows where you can walk the dogs. the hens whose eggs are delicious especially eaten with linda's seeded bread. linda and mark are so kind and thoughtful. we came here for a funeral and on enquiringly about a taxi they said they would not only take us to the crematorium but also collect us. we appreciated the kindness very very much. this is a site that we hope to return to again and again. 25th may 2016 karen & nick what a great cl site, nice clean and tidy. linda and mark made us so welcome. linda's bread, scones and the eggs a real treat. the pitch at the end gave us fantastic views and was so level we had no need to jack any side up excellent. we have visited the site now over 4 years and have seen the improvements mark has made , well done mark. will see you again in 2017. good luck for a busy 2016 season. 30th march to 8th april 2016 pete and les penfold just spent a lovely time over christmas at this friendly cl with our motorhoming mates peter and carole. our hosts, mark and linda and rosy the hound could not have been more friendly and helpful. a warm welcome, followed by offers of help as well as eggs and freshly baked bread all on a small, nicely laid out site, that was still undergoing transformation and improvements. weather was wet and windy but very mild so walking out into the lovely surrounding countryside was a little limited. a christmas with a difference in a lovely location surrounded by nice people. just great. 23 to 26 dec 2015 dave brown lovely peaceful site run by a lovely couple, who were happy to provide a bit of extra hospitality and bit of banter to boot!. everything we needed - with aylesbeare common a short walk away. i'm sure we'll be back. 8/8/15 stephen and carole scott one of the best sites we have visited in 8 years of touring. mark and linda run a well maintained site which allows plenty of room between units. we were greeted in a pleasant and helpful manner. mark is knowledgeable about the area which came in handy. there is a pub 2 miles away at tipton st john which we walked to, sadly it was busy so not able to rate. one of the problems with motorhomes is finding a place to visit which allows parking for larger vehicles. budleigh salterton and exmouth provide large car parks which could take any unit size. took advantage of the little hut that sells fruit and vegetables, situated at the site entrance. had the best raspberries ever certainly will stay again. thanks for a lovely week mark and linda 6th july 2015 (7 days warrens a very enjoyable stay at this well kept cl, very attentive and friendly owners made us feel welcome. conveniently aituated for sidmouth, exeter and dartmoor. we hope to return soon. 22-5-15 to 25-5-15 karen & nick our second visit to this excellent cl, plenty of space and great views , very easy access . linda and mark a great couple will make you very welcome. super home baked bread, scones and free range eggs. will be reluctant to leave next week. i could even get a bt hot spot wifi hookup. a gem of a cl. 7th april - april 2015 john o'hara fabulous cl, central to exeter, exmouth, budleigh, sidmouth and many more. lots of space, friendly or private, the owners let you be if you want, very laid back. will definaely use again if we're in the vicinity. local pub, the halfway inn did fabulous food!!! enjoy. easter 2015 trevor & rita lovely location and linda & mark made us very welcome. this was our first caravan trip and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. the facilities were a high standard and very clean. we would certainly recommend this for anyone visiting devon. close to sidmouth and the donkey sanctuary. february 2015 elaine sampson we stayed at this site after reading other comments and they were absolutely right. top marks for friendly owners . spotless clean toilet on site. very relaxed atmosphere. will definitely be staying again. 19/9/2014 paul elcocks keep this to yourself but this is a marvellous cl in the countryside but only 8 easy miles from exmouth - perfect. you are made to feel extremely welcome and at home from the moment you arrive and it's only because of the rain today that has lead us not to extend our stay indefinitely. but we will return no doubt about it and soon. 21.08.2014 karen and nick great location, linda and mark where excellent hosts and made us most welcome , perfect location to tour south devon with many places of interest including many national trust properties. linda's bread, scones and eggs just great. we both enjoyed
